Quantum Electronics
The central theme of the research currently conducted by this group is the application of the techniques of quantum electronics to previously inaccessible problems in fundamental physics, astrophysics, and geophysics. Using lasers, atomic clocks, and the techniques of single photon detection, experimental measurements are being made. Optical systems involving new laser designs and new types of detectors are being developed.
