Abstract: Measurement devices based on neutral atoms perform some of the most precise absolute measurements in the world. I will lead an intuitive discussion about how the fundamental tenets of quantum mechanics lead to extreme sensing capabilities and the techniques used to bring these ideas into reality as practical quantum devices.
