Speaker: Jiabin Yu (University of Florida) Title:Â Quantum Geometric Perspective of Correlated Phases Abstract:Â In this talk, I will discuss the role of quantum geometry in understanding correlated phases. I will first focus on topologically trivial bands and show that strong quantum geometry can give rise to unconventional ordered states such as altermagnetism and charge-4e superconductivity. I will then turn to topological bands and explain how their quantum geometry can help us construct many-body wavefunctions for correlated phases, particularly beyond fractional Chern insulators. If time allows, I will briefly touch on other topics, including multilayer graphene and machine learning.
