Curriculum Vitae

Andrew Baden is Professor and Chair of the Department of Physics at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Baden has worked in many aspects of high-energy physics over the past 20 years, and was part of the D0 collaboration at Fermilab which, along with the CDF team, discovered the top quark in 1995. Since the late 1990s, he has been part of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider. He and his team are specifically responsible for designing, prototyping, testing and manufacturing the "trigger" electronics for the CMS hadron calorimeter.
