Title: Effective Theory of Black Holes in the Large Dimension Limit
Abstract: In the limit of a large number of dimensions, the nonlinear horizon dynamics of black holes reduces to an effective theory that is dramatically simpler than the Einstein equation. I will describe the two main approaches to deriving this effective theory and provide several practical applications.
